The Spire Hotel is located in the centre of the city, a 15-20 minute drive to Queenstown International Airport (ZQN) in nearby Frankton. Guests arriving by plane are invited to utilise our transportation services and choose from a transfer via our fleet of private luxury vehicles or an incredible experience aboard the Pacific Jemm yacht. This option is ideal for guests arriving early or departing late as it includes a cruise around Lake Wakatipu and vehicle transfer to or from the hotel or airport.

WEATHER
(September to November) is the best time for water and river activities, golf and fishing, and is also a typically quieter period in the city.
(June to August) is undoubtedly the peak season for those devoted to alpine sports. Guests can also enjoy glacier helicopter trips, heli rafting, Winter Pride week and Queenstown Winter Festival during winter months.
(December to February) are months ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Long, warm days can be spent by Lake Wakatipu, hiking, mountain biking or attending the many events held over this period, including concerts, races and the New Zealand Open.
(March to May) brings a change of tone to Queenstown, magnificently transforming the already stunning scenery. Arrowtown Autumn and the LUMA arts and culture festival are two of the season’s best festivals, while outdoor activities remain as popular as ever during these months.
