A spa inside the hotel

Relax and unwind during your stay at The Spire with a visit to The Well Spa, Queenstown — the ultimate place to relax and unwind. Four private spa treatment rooms, including a dedicated couples space, offer a serene environment for body treatments, luxury facials and our signature spa packages. Our therapists tailor each treatment to your particular needs, focusing on high-quality, New Zealand-made products.

Hydration is the goal, inside and out. The Well Spa is unwavering in its commitment to 100% New Zealand made: locally pressed Manuka honey, and the proudly homegrown Nellie Tier and Comfort Zone skin-science ranges, every product chosen for its provenance and the quality of its results.

Signature treatments

Manuka Healing Facial

Manuka honey is a natural skincare saviour for dehydrated alpine skin. The signature nourishing facial cleanses, exfoliates and restores, leaving a radiant glow. Thirty or sixty minutes.

Comfort Zone Skin Science Facial

Your therapist diagnoses and prescribes one of four targeted protocols — Hydra Glow for moisture, Sublime Skin lifting, Recover Touch repair, or Active Pureness for clarity. Sixty minutes.

Massage

Relaxation massage in 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120-minute sittings; deep tissue for skiers and hikers; hot stone in winter; Indian head massage with a warm compress; and a dedicated foot massage after a day on the trails. Add an Embody Me New Zealand cold-pressed oil blend — Courage, Joy, Peace or Kindness.

Body

A Full Body Scrub and Manuka-Aromatic Wrap, followed by a head, neck and scalp massage. Or the Manuka-Aroma Foot Revitalisation — a scrub, wrap and lower-leg massage that is perfect recovery after a long walk or long-haul flight.

For two

Every treatment can be made for two in the couples room. The Couples Hideaway pairs a relaxation massage with a Manuka facial; Mother & Daughter pairs a back massage with a Comfort Zone facial. Both include a complimentary drink each. Book the couples room by phone or email so it is reserved.

What to expect

The Well Spa sits at street level within The Spire at 11 Earl Street, on the corner of Church Lane, open daily from 10am to 7pm. Treatments begin with a short consultation so your therapist can tailor pressure, products and focus; guests with injuries, pregnancy or skin sensitivities are accommodated with adapted protocols and pregnancy pillows. Arrive ten minutes early to settle in. Hotel guests can charge treatments to the room and walk back upstairs in a robe. Waxing, manicures and pedicures are available subject to therapist availability, and gift vouchers — valid for thirty-six months — can be bought online or at the spa.

Skin at altitude

Queenstown’s climate is dry, bright and windy, and skin notices: dehydration, sun exposure on the slopes, and the drying effect of heated rooms. The Well Spa’s menu is built around hydration for exactly this reason — Manuka honey’s humectant and antibacterial properties, hyaluronic and lactic acids in the Hydra Glow protocol, and the collagen-rich hand and foot wraps. A facial on arrival and a massage before departure is the pattern our repeat guests settle into.

Building a wellness day in Queenstown

Morning: a walk through Queenstown Gardens and along the lakefront, then coffee at Brunch on Church. Late morning: an e-bike loop of the Frankton Arm, or a gentle Pacific Jemm cruise. Afternoon: The Well Spa — a 90-minute relaxation massage and a Manuka facial. Early evening: pre-dinner canapés at the hotel, then a lighter, seasonal dinner at No.5 Church Lane and an early night in a suite with a deep bath and blackout blinds.

In winter, pair the spa with the slopes. Our Spring, Ski & Spa package (SKI2SPA) includes one Well Spa treatment per day across three nights, plus champagne breakfast in your room. The All-Inclusive Weekend (ALLINTSH) does the same over a long weekend with airport transfers and a Pacific Jemm cruise.
